I am loving all of my notes on what i can try to make my skin less "troll-like" everything from trying new products to drinking cider vinegar!!
I know but I am bound to try it.
I promised a picture of my skin, I don't want any comments like "it's not that bad!" i know there are people that have worse but this is my bad. If i have 1! that's bad!
Ok i had to make these EXTRA LARGE!! Please no one unfollow me!!
A lot of those aren't even pimples, those are scars!
So today i am trying the St. Ives Apricot Scrub
let's pray this works!!
I am going to need more help for the scarring I think, I may be breaking down and seeing a
Dermatologist. Not my biggest want as I have seen one before and what I got was HELL
All over my face!!!
Thank you girls for all the kind words and these helpful tips.
On the road to better skin!!! I want to never use liquid foundation again!!

ahhh Taylor I LOVE THAT APRICOT SCRUB! Seriously, I cant believe you are just now trying that. It is like a CULT product for people.
Come see me!!!!!!!!!
If it's because of birthc control/your hormones then there isn't a product in the world that will help because it's internal. I went to my oBGYN Tuesday and she's going to give me a hormone pannel to let me know which ones are out of whack so I can fix it..
My skin has been acting the exact same way for a while now. Be really careful with the scrub as it's super harsh for the skin on your face. I mix baking soda with a bit of olive oil and it works awesome :) I know the oil thing sounds a bit backwards, but it's really good for your skin.
I switched to Spectro Gel face wash and only use all natural lotions on my face, and it's made such a huge difference. I use that DIY scrub once a week and a natural clay mask once a week and I'm good to go. Scars and everything look 100x better.
Good luck, I feel your pain.
That Apricot scrub is sooo delicious smelling! Another good one (a little less abrasive) is Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Scrub - UH-MAZING. It's all I use now. http://www.drugstore.com/neutrogena-oil-free-acne-stress-control-power-clear-scrub/qxp163359
Hopefully this go-round with the Derm ends up MUCH better than the last!
that scrub is THE BEST!
also, i've been using 100% raw, organic coconut oil as a moisturizer for over a year now.. i swear by it! i never break out, my skin glows, AND i smell delicious...
PLUS, it's like 8 bucks for a huge jar that lasts forever! and you can use it on your legs, arms, anywhere else, too..
try it! you will love it.. and if you don't, you can always cook with the left over oil (:
I just went back to my trusty Neutrogena and things have been going well. It's so gentle!
Once you get the breakouts under control I suggest the Clinique dark spot corrector for your scarring. I used that stuff and I barely wear foundation ever anymore...and I've had so many girls at work ask me what my skin secret it.
I love the St. Ives Apricot Scrub! It has always left my face feeling amazing afterwards :)
I'm not quite sure what else to tell you to try.. I'm not good at being a girl. My biggest problem is the second it even feels like it is cold out I get Rudolph nose! Ugh. Haha!
The scrub has always been to harsh for my skin so Im now using Clinique. (I skip the toner step since it burns so bad) but for my scarring I started to use the dark spot corrector from Clinique and its been about 2 weeks and I honestly do see a difference. Nothing huge that someone else could probably notice but I do feel like they are getting lighter. Good luck!
looks alot like mine. seriously.
fair warn {which im sure you know with break out prone skin} switching up and trying up a bunch of new products/routines will only make it worse.
i did worse after seeing a derm too. until i realized how to use the prescribed products better than her directions ;)
retin-a... again... amazing for scaring. sparingly. at night. as a spot treatment. NOT all over. ever. plus, best wrinkle defense cream EVER invented. bonus for later, right!!!
i hear... but ive actually never tried it that sugar water is actually the best scrub you could do for yourself. i know. sugar? on your face? but hey... its free. worth a shot.
Ok I am breaking out majorly on my forehead. Please let me know if you find something magical that works! I've tried that scrub, didn't work for me. Ugh
I've had trouble with my skin from I don't know how long. The scrub works fine for me.

I've been told not to use the scrub daily, but it's really the only thing that works on my face. Using the cleansers without the scubby things in them just dries my face out really bad!
Jess from Wangling Chaos sells this stuff, and she's 33 and looks 20! I would get some if it wasn't so much money! (I didn't check what's in it, so sorry if there are animal products in it! I know you're against that stuff!) http://www.wranglingchaos.com/p/rodan-fields.html
Don't go to a dermatologist, and don't use that scrub! The apricot seed is rough so it basically micro-tears your skin - you don't want that. If you're back in Seattle, go to this place called SkinLogic in Greenlake -I used to work there and used to have really bad skin. They helped clear it up with a few products and facials. I haven't been to Callidora but I've heard that's a good one too. It'll be way cheaper than a Dermatologist - trust me!
Just wrote a long comment and it bombed out somewhere along the line! So short version now. I can relate - TOTALLY. Suffered with my skin. Creams (esp. scrubs) just made it worse. Age 30 Roaccutane. Best thing I ever did. Had 10 blissful clear skin years and then started getting those awful blind pimples again. The ones with their own heartbeat! Not as bad as before, but still .... at 40 for f*cksake. Bought a juicer a few months ago (not with my skin in mind) and big bonus is that I am not getting the pimples anymore. Go figure. Worth a try. All the best, Lindsay
